Sticker sheets
Avery 5160 FNSKU labels, without wasting sheets
Avery 5160 is the 30-per-sheet layout (1 × 2-5/8 in labels, 3 across, 10 down) that Seller Central uses for US item labels. Print it at Scale 100% on Letter paper, check alignment with one plain-paper test sheet held against a label sheet, and when a sheet is half used, start the next job at the first empty sticker. Prepline lets you tap that sticker (say label 13) so nothing goes in the bin.
The layout
| Measure | Avery 5160 |
|---|---|
| Label | 1 × 2-5/8 in (25.4 × 66.7 mm) |
| Per sheet | 30 (3 columns × 10 rows) |
| Top and bottom margin | 0.5 in |
| Left and right margin | 3/16 in (0.1875 in) |
| Gap between columns | 1/8 in |
| Same layout | 5260, 5960, 8160, 18160 and most “30 per sheet address labels” |
Use up the half sheet
A 12-unit shipment leaves 18 stickers on the sheet. Next time, don’t start a new one. In Prepline’s sheet preview, tap the first empty sticker, row 5 column 1 is label 13, and the job starts there. The PDF still covers the whole sheet; only the stickers you still have get printed. The Chrome extension people built just for this problem (“label recycler”) does the same thing, but only inside Seller Central.
Print it straight
- Choose Letter paper, Scale 100% (Actual size), margins Default. “Fit to page” shrinks the grid and every row drifts a little more than the last.
- Print the test sheet on plain paper, put it on top of a label sheet and hold both up to a window. The frames should sit inside every sticker.
- If the whole grid is off by a millimetre or two, enter the gaps in Prepline’s calibration once. The offset is saved for your laser printer profile.
- Feed one sheet at a time through the tray your printer uses for labels or heavy paper.
UK and EU sheets
On amazon.co.uk and the EU stores, Seller Central offers A4 layouts instead: 21, 24, 27, 40 and 44 per sheet. Prepline reads all of them, and prints onto A4 21-up (63.5 × 38.1 mm), 24-up (63.5 × 33.9 mm), 40-up (52.5 × 29.7 mm) and 44-up (48.5 × 25.4 mm) sheets. The 40-up layout runs edge to edge, so it needs a printer that prints to the edge of the page.
Questions
Can I reuse a partially used sheet of FNSKU labels?
Yes. Start the job at the first empty sticker (for example label 13) and only the remaining stickers are printed.
Why do my Avery labels drift down the page?
The print dialog is scaling the page. Set Scale to 100% (Actual size); scaling makes each row land a little further off than the one before.
Which Avery labels work for Amazon FNSKU?
Avery 5160 and its equivalents (30 per sheet, 1 × 2-5/8 in) in the US. Look for removable versions if you can, since Amazon asks for removable labels.
